Judaics
Judaics
Our classrooms, whether live or virtual, are all interactive, using cutting edge teaching methods to engage students deeply in all subjects through active participation. Most prominent is Project Based Learning. Students work together on projects that encourage them to learn while employing the four C’s: Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication and Creativity. In our classrooms, the teacher is not a “sage on the stage” but rather a “guide on the side.”
Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 1
Our Introductory Grades program is built around the idea of feeling good about being Jewish while being exposed to basic Jewish ideas and experiences. Students experience the joy of being Jewish through song, dance, games, activities and movement, whether together in the classroom or gathered on the Zoom screen. Students are automatically enrolled in PJ Library, a program from Jewish Federation that sends a Jewish book home monthly at no charge.
Grade 2 - Grade 3
Our Judaics curriculum is based on the Timeline of Jewish History, from Creation to today. Students will SPIRAL through the timeline, over the years learning new lessons at an age appropriate pace. Middot (Jewish Values) are an integral part of our program. We promote a Middah (singular) of the Month and encourage students to build these values into their daily life.
Grade 4 - Grade 7
Grades 4 – 7 will follow the same spiraling timeline and Middot curriculum. Classes are kept small to maximize each learning opportunity. Students engage in a variety of interactive learning platforms, whether in live or virtual classes.
